Apartment
Recently I have made a lot of changes in my living arrangements. My roommates moved out and I've gotten a new roommate. We have loved it. It has been our own little haven, and we spent a lot of time working on how to make it look the best that we could. Here are a couple of pictures of what we have done. I must say, I really am quite fond of my apartment.
This is the first view of the apartment when walking in

I'm in love with this yellow couch. I never thought that I'd fall for a yellow couch, but it was lust at first sight when I saw it on craiglist. Some other person had already had dibs on it, but I was able to convince the owner to sell it to me :)

The Kitchen (partially)
My Bedroom

My color coded closet. I realize it is too dark to see, but yes, I could be that OCD. Just like I could have probably taken a better picture.

Copy Cat
(I had to edit this page so that I could get the pictures to the size that I wanted. Unfortunately, I am not that computer savvy and I could not reload my pics to any bigger size. Consequentially, almost all of my photo's were erased. I have had to spend the past couple hours, the longest hours of my LIFE, revamping my blog... I apologize for the difference)
As part of my productive work day I have decided to copy Brian, who (I must disclaim) copied someone else with the really cool picture idea. Speaking of which, Tamara also claims that I copied her and bought the same shoes as her, even though they are mass produced and there are tons of other people in the world with the same loafers... I will let her think that I copied her for the sake of her well being... BTW: I bought them before her. She claims we bought them on the same day...
Here are my pics:

Procrastination...
I'm supposed to be writing a paper right now. The paper is due on Thursday, and because I have 4 days as opposed to my usual night before, I am being a very bad girl, plus, I haven't written for a while (or cleaned my kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom - all of which I just finished doing), I am making good use of my time. It is difficult for me to get started on a paper without the added motivation of very little time, therefore I deem it naturally impossible for me to write anything useful prior to my all-nighter.
Enough of that though...
I was thinking on last Friday about how I should take pictures for this party that I was going to have. I got my camera out of my purse, wiped off the dust, and set it in a very obvious place for me to remember. It seems that my memory is continuously failing me lately because I utterly forgot to capture the shining moments during the occassion. Either way, I can record (through my failing memory) in words the event. I threw a small belated birthday party at my place for Brent. It was a hit! I only invited my family, but that in no way belittles what everyone described as the "phenomenal" value of my cooking. I don't usually cook, nor am I huge on household things, but I made my mom's chicken rolls and gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans, and they turned out pretty good. Brent and I had about two hours of dishes to clean afterwards, that is how good they were. My mom's recepies are the best! Her greenbeans and mashed potatoes are to die for, and the chicken rolls are a family favorite. I think that everyone had a good time, and it was an opportunity to show off my apartment since some changes have been made :). It made me think that, while very messy, having my family together was so great and I should be more proactive about family get-togethers (it had been a while).
