Sleepless in Seattle

Not really though, I got a lot of sleep and chilled most of the time for my latest visit to Seattle. It was so wonderful, and with all of the snow it was a very white, picturesque Christmas. I missed hanging out with my family this year for Christmas, but Brent's family and friends were gracious enough to have me. My schedule was pretty simple... One day I read for the entire day, the next I watched T.V., I slept in every day, it was very low key. It was just what we needed. The beauty of Washington will never cease to astound me. This was the first time that I was able to experience Seattle in the winter. And quite the winter it was! There were record breaking snowstorms and windchills, but still, it wasn't much as compared to Utah. As everyone was telling me how horrible the winter was, I had to laugh to myself because Utah usually gets much worse. But I can understand if one is not used to the constant snow and wind :)
Brent and I at the most expensive steak house Daniels Broiler. Yeah, they use flashlights so that we can make sure that the steak is done to our taste.

Everyone has real live deer playing in their front yard right?

This was the view on Christmas morning.

Me enjoying the best fish and chips in the world (that I've had so far) at Ivers.

Here is a pic of the actual meal...

One day after we got back my dad came into town. We hung out with him almost every day. It was a blast. For the first time since I was about 14 I went skiing. I have bragging rights now as I did better than everyone expected. My first run was pretty embarassing, but once I got that out of the way I did much better and was able to even keep with the expert skiier Brent. It gives me great pleasure to say that my sister, who is the athletic one and usually beats me in almost every sport, face planted it much more than me. There was one point where she landed on her backside and hit so hard that she bounced up in a perfect arch through the air and faceplanted. I stopped to help her out and when she looked up she had snow caked in her nostrils and mouth. I couldn't help laughing and neither could she. She was a great sport about it. We had a most enjoyable time and I found a new hobby I think in skiing.

I'm all geared up and ready to ski!
